Family Update

Our family Update...

Lacey: lives with the love of her life and has two beautiful children. She's a stay at home momma who rocks homeschooling her preschooler. Lucas is almost 4 years old and loves being naked. He loves trucks and trains. Lana is 8 months old and is so wickedly fat. She loves to giggle and gives the best hugs.

Alexander: works full time as a shift lead at UDF. He helps with the family household and helped Chris and I get our family van. Alex likes to play video games like San Andres and Call of Duty and he also loves funny clips on YouTube.

Katelynn: works at KFC and with the help of her boyfriend they raise their son Christopher or Biggie as we call him. He's a doll baby he is. He has an imagination that blows me away. He loves music, dancing and hanging with Pawpaw.

Emma: is weeks away from getting her diploma and works with her grandpa on the side. She loves to take walks and enjoys being in nature. Emma is an old soul who shows compassion in everything she does. I can't wait TV to see what she brings to the table next year.

Chris & Jette: We work Grubhub and Doordash part time. Delivering food is actually fun. We love our city and love doing what we do.

2018 is gonna rock!

Family Update

First let me start by saying I hope that you have a most wonderful Christmas and happy new year. I hope that the new year brings you happiness and joy. Wealth and beauty.

I going to start with the youngest this time. Emma Jane is officially an adult. 18!!! She is concentrating on graduating high school and beginning a fresh start in the new year. She loves her friends and family and backs them to no end. She is bright and smart as a whip. She's funny and considerate of others feeling. She wears her emotions on the outside, so you always know how she's feeling. She still wants to have a career with animals and/or food.

Katelynn has completely amazed us all. She has been the most wonderful mother to Christopher Alexander Michael (Cam for short). She is also a tentative and loving girlfriend to Collin. Katey knows how to manage being a working adult and caring mother like a champ. I admire her determination and drive. When she wants something, nothing can get in her way.

Alexander works full time and helps provide for his family. He has taken it upon himself to make sure that his mother and father are taken care of. He very rarely concerns himself with trivial matters and worries more about the people he loves. He loves taking naps and playing video games in his spare time. He's always there to help with taking out the dogs or doing the dishes. Major trooper.

Lacey is expecting a new little one next year. Lucas is going like a weed. Lacey is very much into DIY projects and homemade dinners. Lucas loves trains and trucks. Both are sensitive and loving. Both are one and the same. He might look more like his granpa Beastie but he's all his momma. Caring and respectful.

Chris and Jette have had a whirl wind of a year. Adding a new grandchild to the mix, watching everyone grow up into awesome adults and being a family is all that matters.

NYC

At this moment in time I want to be in NYC. I don't know why, it's just something I feel. I want to watch the colors change on the trees in Central Park. I want to walk in the park and see the same trees my family played around. I want to walk down the cobblestone streets and sneak into a little diner. I want to order a cup-o-joe and Ruben on rye. I want to feel closer to my grandfather and uncle. I want to sense them and absorb their wisdom of Hells Kitchen. I want to be one with my home away from home. Eat the same foods. See the generations of family's who never left. Feel what they feel. Smell what they smell. Twenty years ago I lived in the Bronx and worked in Manhattan. 49th and Lex. Local YMHA. Don't know if it's still there, but golly I sure hope so.

RIP

I just found out that a young man I've known since he was a young teenager has passed away due to a heroin overdose. He left behind two children. This is hitting close to home. I knew this kid. He was a good kid....when I knew him. I wonder what sent him down that path? What happened after we moved that made him give up and do something that could kill you as soon as get you high. My heart breaks for his parents who only had 25 short years with their son. I feel for his children who will have to remember him through pictures and memories. For his friends who loved him so.

Heroin and other street drugs has become a epidemic of huge proportions. Parents please talk to your children about the dangers of hard core drugs. Drugs that hook you as soon as you try it. The drugs that kill you. Teach them young. Teach them early. My mother showed me a video when I was a young teenage about what happens AFTER you die from a heroin overdose. It was horrific. I looked at my mother with tears in my eyes and she said with tears in her eyes "Don't make me shop for you one last time...not for this." I took her seriously and NEVER touched the shit (that's what it is). I don't want to leave my mother, my family and friends in that situation. I love them to much.

I strongly urge each and everyone of you to spread the word about the dangers of serious street drugs. Talk to your children. Show them videos (age appropriate of course). Make them understand what happens not only to them, but to the people around them. What happens when they leave.

My friend is gone. There is nothing I can do about that. However, I will make sure my children understand how much they are loved and appreciated for who they are. Hold them tight. Teach them young and often. Make them understand!

RIP Josh. You will be missed. xoxo

Post Thanksgiving

Today has been one of those long long days. Thanksgiving dreams every ounce of energy that I have. There's probably a good reason we have a 4 - 5 day weekend, you need that much time to recoup after that Big beautiful bird on Thanksgiving. I got to spend the whole day with two out of four children, all in laws, and a couple good friends. I am blessed to have the family that I have. To be loved and cherished by a wonderful husband just tops the cake. My children are grateful for every moment of every day and know that in the blink of an eye it can be gone. They donate what they can, give out food to those who need it and refuse to hold too bad of a grudge. I did not get to see anyone in my family. My mother my sisters and brothers, I miss them so much. I know that they miss me and love me just as much and knowing that keeps my head straight.

Tired

I'm feeling tired. There I said it. I'm ridiculously tired. But I try not to show it. I try to put on a brave face. For my husband. My kids. Everyone. On the inside all I want to do is lay in bed eating jellybeans and drink wine. I want to scream at some people and find others and hug them. What's wrong with me. One day I have to much empathy now I feel like I'm loosing it. Empathy was my superpower. My go to. Where has it gone? Where can I find it again? I need a moment of reflection. I need to be one with the earth. I need to go camping with just my husband. A weekend away. Just the two of us. I need that more than anything. I'm trying  so hard. To be the best mother. Wife. Sister. Daughter. Friend. I'm trying and that is all I can do.

Bus Ride

Today I took the bus to my therapy session. I watched as u walked down the block the bus drive by so I had to wait. How long I did not know. I found out it's about thirty minutes or so between buses. So I waited in the wet and cold for that stupid bus. Finally the bus came. I call to let my therapist that I may be a couple minutes late...due to the missed bus (which I take full credit for). Come to find out my appointment was yesterday. So I asked if I could get another appointment that day and he had an opening at one o'clock. I said great and took it. I pulled up at noon and told them that I was there but running across the street for some lunch and will be right back. Thirty minutes later I walk into the building, say hi to the secretary and take my coat off. As I turn to sit down I see my therapist sitting across from me. We both start laughing and I grab my stuff and we head up his office. We had a nice chat (client/patient) then I left. As I walk to the bus stop I see a bus and start to run hoping that it was the number two so I didn't have to wait in the cold and now snowing weather. It was my bus and I got it in the nick if time it was ready to leave. I called my hubs when I got to my last stop and told him to pick me up because I didn't want to walk a mile home in the cold and snow. My wonderful hubs picked me up and took me home where i proceeded to wait for the call of my oldest son. As soon as he calls the hubs and I pick him up and go to the store. This is where I see my son hitting on a nice young clerk. This is the first time I ever seen my boy be a man. And he was good. He had her all a fluster and he himself was on the nutty side. We went home and unloaded the groceries. Thinking that I was done for the day my hubs then tells me that we have to go to my mother in laws. More great news. Thankfully she was in a good mood and she didn't act a fool. I then came home, made dinner, cleaned up, did a load of laundry and now going to bed. So I bid you all a good night. Goodnight.

A little something about my family

Lets start off wih the patriarch of the family

Don: he's one of a kind fil. I love him so kuch. Like joy own dad. In fact they have been times when I've slipped up ad called him daddy haha. He has helped us out of some major jams over the years. So nothing bad to say here.

Chris: he's starting his own business and working to make his family better. He thinks only of his family. He barely thinks of himself. He's a stong human being. He's positive. He's romantic. He's sensitive. Let's talk about

Lacey: this is a girl who has been though the ringer. She has a baby and taking care of her gpa and bf. her son is thriving and is so very loved. Her bf...

Chris: is doing well for himself. He's working hard to become a kitchen manager at Chipotle. He loves his son and doesn't take his eyes off of him.

Alex: he's having a hard time with bullies. He has talked about being home schooled. Not going back. We have him in therapy and he's on the road to recovery.

Katey: is doing well in school and socially. She has a good bd who treats her good. And with respect.

Emma: is and always will be my little Chris. She's just like her father in the right. She's witty and has snappy combacks. She's our in house comidian.

And now to myself: I'm a girl who is trying to find who I am. I'm a girl who is stuck. I'm a girl who wants to be swept off her feet with romance and then come home to a loving and caring family.

This is my family. And I love them all.

California

I want to go back to California. I want to sit on my mountain and meditate till the sun goes down. I want to see the sand. I want to touch the gritty sand under my feet. I want to feel the warm water on my toes. I want to go to LA and act like a teenager. I want to reinvent myself.

My Wonderful Husband

I want to tell you about my husband. I met him when I was 16 years old. I knew of him...I didn't know him. We dated briefly in high school and although we broke up for whatever reason we remain very good friends. We always seemed to know where the other was. We knew what the other was feeling. We always had a connection. We moved on in our lives. We both started dating other people and lost touch briefly. Then he called me out of the blue. To this day I don't know how he even found my number. He called to tell me that he was going to have his second baby. I already knew about the first when we bumped into each other at a football game. Come to find out he was living 10 minutes away the whole time. After the birth of my son he found me again and brought over all our friends to meet my new little guy. After that we were inseparable. We've had our up and downs. One big up was our daughter. We were now a family. Later on he told me that he watched me walk down the hall at our old high school and told his friend that he was going to marry me someday. That day came true on October 9, 2004. I married my best-friend. My soul-mate. My everything. I love you honey for every and always. Happy Valentines Day.

The Last Couple Days

I have the most horrible PMS ever. It's very debilitating. I have the worst cramps. I'm cranky as if all hell has broken loose. To top it off my daughters are on sync with me. WHOOPEE!! Sometimes I wish I could be left alone for a week with no one to bug me. That would be awesome.
