I Saw My Dad!!

My husband and I were on the way to his mothers when we decided to turn around and just go home due to the weather. I forgot to buy some milk on Saturday so we went to the Speedway down the street on the way home. I looked up and saw a man with Utah in big letters on a hoodie. And the man who was wearing it was my father. I couldn't get out of the car fast enough. First forgot to grab the keys. Then forgot the phone on the dash. Then a man was taking forever to get into his car and I couldn't open my door. Then my husband was walking out and all I could say was "I just saw my Dad!!". All I heard was Honey? No you didn't. Trust me I said. I walked with the speed that felt like a snail. My legs felt like they were in tar. I slowly walked up to this man and said "Uncle Jeff?". My uncle who by the way is almost identical to my father, was standing in front of me. All I could do was hug him. When he put his arms around me it was like my father was hugging me. I felt his arms holding me. I still feel them. I didn't want to let go. We said some pleasantries and went our separate ways, but hell I almost lost it right there in the store. As soon as I stepped into the car. however is a different story. My amazing husband drove home with me sobbing in the passenger seat. It was strange. To see someone look so much like my father. It brought up so many feelings. I just couldn't hold it in. I miss my father dearly. But I'm happy I got to see him...sort of. It couldn't have come at a better time too. I needed my father. I need him now. There is so much I want to tell him. So many things.

My day to sit and relax. And I have!!! I've had a really good day so far. I made some homemade chicken noodle soup and buttered noodles and I refuse to clean my kitchen HAHAHAHA.

Al's first day of high school. I can't believe it. I remember dropping him off at his first day of preschool. It goes by so fast. Cherish every moment.

School Starting

School starts soon. I'm really hoping that this year is better than last. Katey will do work and pass. Emma will excel in ECOT. Alex will take high school by storm and Lacey will find what she's looking for. Good news...no supplies needed. Just clothes. This saves us a bit of money. I'm blessed that my kids love second hand stores as well. This will save us money as well.

School starts soon...

School starts in a week or so. Cool thing...no supplies this year. Emma's doing online work as well as Lacey and Katey goes to a private school. Rick has Alex covered...which I'm sure we will help. You're probably wondering why my youngest in doing ECOT (online work). Emma mustered up the courage to talk to her dad and I about how unhappy she is at school. She feels left out. She's having a really difficult time with the classes and other students making fun of her for stupid crap. So we told her she can do one year of ECOT then she has to do at lease one year in high school. She agreed and now this is the plan.

Today....

This morning was rough. Lacey had a massive headache this morning and Katelynn was sick as well. Alex and Emma were fine. When we finally got the girls settled we went out to look for a new car. We haven't had a car since November-ish. It really sucked not having a car! We've been borrowing rides to get groceries, pay bills and have any sort of fun. Anyhoo... we went to several different lots. With what we have we should be able to have a minimum down payment and very low monthly payments. We have decided to go with a mini-van. No big frills. No Dvd thingy in the seats. Just a good car. This is the part that Sufis...we couldn't take anything home. We have to go back tomorrow. I'll keep posted.

Crazy days

Sorry I'ge been gone for a bit. Craziness has consumed me. Since we last talked this is what has been going on... All my kids are teenagers!! Yeah you read right...TEENAGERS! If any of you want one just let me know. Hahahaha just kidding (maybe lol). I completed my DBT in January 2011. Feeling real good about it too. So I guess not a whole heck of a lot isn't yapping. I'll try to keep up with my blog.
